Decking Products
Decks are meant to be enjoyed, not maintained. Therefore, our preferred decking products are composite decking and aluminum railing. These products will stand the test of time with little to no maintenance. They also look great! Of course, if you prefer a different material, we will work with you to make sure your needs and desires for your dream deck are met.
Meet our Lead Carpenter
Root’s Nurseries is excited to welcome Henry Fisher as our lead carpenter. Henry was born and raised on a dairy farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and a mindset that hard work never hurt anybody. A common quote from Henry’s dad has always been “anything worth doing is worth doing right.” According to those who have had decks or other carpentry projects completed by Henry, this has translated into the quality workmanship he is known for.
Henry’s construction career started in 2004 and involved a variety of different aspects of the residential construction industry such as, but not limited to, framing houses and exterior remodeling (roofing, siding, windows and doors). Since 2018 Henry’s focus and passion has been custom carpentry and building decks. Henry’s experience is extensive with varying projects including small landings, elaborate decks with multiple levels, pergolas, covered structures and so much more.
For fun, Henry likes to spend time with his wife and three children traveling in their motorhome. He also enjoys creating wood art on his lathe such as bowls, vases, Christmas trees, etc. Henry then sells the finished items at various local Makers Markets, with all the funds going to ZOE International to help support their efforts in preventing/rescuing children from child trafficking.
